Paying your DMV fees

Always pay your DMV fees the first day they are due,
then you have 2 months to smog your vehicle, longer if needed...

First read your paperwork as to what the DMV requires, maybe insurance…
Sometimes DMV asks for a copy of your Insurance. Your insurance company normally sends it electronically…

You can pay for your registration at DMV, not recommended, unless you use their self-servicekiosk/machine…
Auto-club (AAA) does almost everything the DMV does including transfers,
you can pay cash or check for your registration fees…
You can pay your registration fees at other retailers/grocery stores,
Vons at Nordoff @ Reseda has a DMV self-service kiosk/machine…
you can mail a check to DMV…
Once you have smogged your vehicle the tags will come in the mail, unless you paid a person…

DMV are charging credit card fees for ALL online, kiosk & phone transactions
Fee is 2.0%
Cash & checks have NO extra fees…

If you have already smogged your vehicle…
You can pay online with a credit card, TAGS will come in a week…
you can pay at AAA and get your tags…
you can use the DMV machine/kiosk at your grocery store & get your tags…
You can mail a check to DMV, your TAGS will come in a month…
